School Counsellor's Message

For many students, school and life in general present an endless list of demands and challenges. Their academic, social, behavioural, and mental health needs have changed and they require additional support from when we were young and growing up. Counselling is designed to give students a healthy outlet to safely discuss their problems, work together to resolve conflicts, improve behaviour, and help with social development.

The counsellor acts as a mediator between the child’s different ecosystems in the school for holistic development. This includes communication between parents, teachers, students, and their peers. They help students identify their abilities, capacities, and interests.

We aim at building resilient, confident and problem-solving individuals through individual and group work. Our group work includes social-emotional learning classes which aim at building self-awareness, social-awareness, self-management skills, responsible decision-making, and relationship skills. On the other hand, our individual counselling sessions provide a non-judgemental and confidential space to regulate behavioural and emotional problems; resolve interpersonal problems; or even use this space to explore their strengths and strongest parts of their personalities.

These services work as a catalyst in providing students with a conducive growing environment.
