Republic Day – 2020

The day began with the hoisting of the tricolour. Class 5 students along with a teacher contingent marched to the tune of patriotic songs.
Class 3 students celebrated India’s diversity by presenting a medley of dances comprising of a Naga dance, a Bihu dance and a dance specially choreographed to A. R . Rehman’s version of Vande Mataram.
A dumbbell drill by class 2 students and a Taekwondo drill added to the patriotic fervour. The cultural program was interspersed by lively singing by the class 5 choir and the teachers singing a contemporary version of ‘Ekla Chalo Re’.
A special attraction of the day turned out to be the vibrant tricolour tattoos sported by the students teachers and parents on their faces and hands.
An overwhelming spirit of Republic Day was felt by one and all in the school.
