CHRISTMAS ASSEMBLY – 2020

  • Date & Time:
    • January 1, 1970

A special online assembly was held on December 24 to celebrate Christmas. The underlying feeling of the assembly was to celebrate Christmas and welcome the New Year as well as express gratitude for the things that have worked for us this year, in spite of all the unprecedented turmoil and problems.

The assembly started with the prayer Amazing Grace sung by our students. The birth of Lord Christ and other symbols related to Christmas celebrations like the Tree, Holly and Santa Claus were discussed. The carol ‘Drummer Boy‘ sung by our school choir a few years back was played and it brought in nostalgia for all. A lively video titled ‘the Christmas Fiesta’ showed our Class I students preparing for the festival at home. Arun Sir spoke about the school video titled ‘Silent Night’, released the previous day on YouTube. The assembly ended on an exciting note by a song video prepared especially for the children by the teachers. The teachers sang and playfully enacted out different scenes to match the lyrics of the popular carol ‘Santa Claus is coming to Town’.
