A group of dancers from Purulia performed an extremely energetic unique performance of ‘Chhau’, a semi classical Indian dance that celebrates martial arts, acrobatics and athletics in the school. The dance style originates from the regions of Eastern India. The theme for the dance was ‘Mahishasura Mardini’ or the slaying of Mahishasura by Goddess Durga. The artists wore their traditional masks. The children loved the performance.
