The school celebrated the International Dance Day on 29th April through a special assembly packed with lively and enthusiastic dance numbers.
Put up by almost 150 students trained by our two dance teachers, the program was a mix of Indian classical forms and contemporary styles. Starting with Mangalacharan, a significant part of Odissi dance, the students danced gracefully on a Indo-western fusion number and followed it up with Michael Jackson’s Beat It and Thriller. The stage seemed to come alive with little MJs. Children also danced with ease and enjoyment on the famous Korean number Gangnum Style and Havan Karenge of Bhaag Milkha fame.
The energetic performances by these students along with their dance teachers made the spirit of dance come alive in the school.
